Bridge College Photography Competition

Bridge College hold a national photography competition each year. The annual competition encourages children and young people from specialist education schools and colleges across the country to get involved in creative photography.

The theme for entries this year was ‘bursts of colour’, there were hundreds of entries, the highest ever which made the shortlisting difficult.

The winner and runner up in the under 16s category was Niall from Underley Garden for his entry ‘Bluebells in May’ winning first prize and ‘Purple flowers’ winning second.

Niall said: “I am so happy to have won! This really means a lot to me and has inspired me to do more photography.”

Winners of first prize received a Kindle HD Fire tablet and runners up received £50 vouchers. Congratulations to Niall we are so proud of him and also some recognition must go to his art teacher Romilly Calvert who accompanied him to the presentation event.
