Science Week 2024

We had lots of fun for Science Week! 

We had a visit from the Science Boffins who put on different workshops for our classes including Incredible Illusions and States of Matter.

In Incredible Illusions pupils got to explore their senses and trick them with different smells, tastes and optical illusions.

In our states of matter workshop we got to explore dry ice and see what it does do different items including balloons and different drinks. We go to turn smoothies in sorbet which was very exciting!

Orchard had a fun sensory investigation afternoon! They had a carousel of activities for them to explore including, saving the dinosaurs from ice, making raisins dance and making rainbows from water and skittles! It was so lovely to see the young people so engaged in the activities!

In class, teacher planned different experiments such as planting seeds, colour volcanos and rockets throughout the week! What a fantastic week!
