Due to the current situation not all our members of our Student Council were able to take part in the local remembrance service in Kirkby Lonsdale which we usually do. However, nothing would not stop us acknowledging and paying our respects to everyone that gave their lives for us so we could live in safety and freedom. One of representatives, Harry, went and laid a wreath on the memorial, and took part in a 2 minutes’ silence. Thank you Harry.
To ensure we all understand what this special time truly means, every class took part in Remembrance Day activities and learnt why we take the time to show our respects. Everyone has been very creative this year, creating a rockery decorated with stone poppies, writing poetry and stories and learning about the History of the 1st World War as well as making hand print wreaths, apple print poppies and listening to the music of the time.
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
