Acorn Care and Education has a strong presence with huge interest from parents and professionals who visited our stand.
The therapeutic integrated offer at Underley was showcased in a seminar delivered by Emma Brassington-Owens, Speech and Language Therapist and Jennifer Heath Occupational Therapist and Lead Practitioner. They told the participants about our Apple Crumble Group which delivers integrated learning and sensory experience to our most complex young people whilst making and eating apple crumble in a social group.
After the seminar there were a more visitors to the Acorn stand asking about Underley Garden.
We also showcased Jennifer Heath’s new book published this week, working with Phoebe Caldwell.
If you are interested in learning more about Apple Crumble, Underley Garden or Jen’s book which focusses on young people’s sensory needs then please get in touch with us at the school.
